New initiative...

A research initiative, "Joint Water Prosperty" is taken up that comprises creation of research base for water resources system to ameliorate developing scarcity of water . The innovative activity involves survey, planning of situation of water bodies viz. farm pond ,village pond , drainage ways and water courses and rivers etc, development of software packages, site of utilization for improving land condition , capacity building of system and users. Additionally it includes transportation , sustainable developmental structures , environment, social reformation and joint capacity building .

The out come of activity will be building of water resources both surface and ground water that would serve as infrastructure for coping up with a climate change .

The Department also runs on demand short courses on CADD and STADPRO relevant to civil engineering profession to equip the student with current skills and practices.

The programme of B. Tech Civil Engineering in the Hindustan College of Science & Technology was added in the year 2003 and the courses are being run in the Civil Engineering Department with elegance and smoothness from June 2003.

The total strength of student admitted in June 2003 was 30, then in the following year 2004 intake was increased to 60 and from June 2005 onwards intake of students has been further increased to 120.
