About Us...

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1996. The department offers the following programmes:

•  Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Communication Engg.) under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (Formerly Agra University) two batches have graduated i.e. up to year 2003.

•  Bachelor of Technology of Mahamaya Technical University, a 4-Year B.Tech. Degree Programme, the students are admitted through Engineering Entrance Test (UPSEE) of the State Government conducted by the university. Diploma holders are admitted in III semester, under the lateral entry provision with the approval of Director of Technical Education, U.P. as per policy guidelines of AICTE / State Govt.

•  Master of Technology of Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), a 2 year M.Tech. Degree Program (in VLSI-Design) the students are admitted through Engineering Entrance Test (UPSEE) of the state Government conducted by the university.

PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY ACTIVITIES

There is a chapter of ISTE on campus and under its banners certain activities have been organized in the past. An ISTE sponsored short term course on VLSI Design was run in Nov. 2007. Student competitions and debates etc are also organized 2-3 times a year, with ISTE chapter and the students association.

Department Societies / Assscociation

  • The Student activities (Academic & Extra curiculars) are taken care by Electornics Student Associatiom (ESA) founded in 2006. The activities of ESA are monitored and coordinated by Mr. Sumeet Rana, Sr. Lecturer, ECE Deparement.
  • Department also boasts of having a student hobby club founded in 2009 under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Ramesh Chandra Head, ECE Deptt. Activities carried out by the Electronics hobby club are:
    a) Workshop on latest development in Electornics field.
    b) Component Designing.
    c) Seminars & Presentations.
