To this end, the department along with proficient faculty and modern Educational tools aims to provide an environment conducive to the development of the overall personality of the students to make them competent to cope effectively with the needs and challenges of a fast changing world of business and Industry.
Executive Summary
Today, as learning organizations have become the norm, the demand for knowledge workers is increasing at a phenomenal rate. Hindustan College of Science & Technology, which was established in 1996, has evolved in pioneering “dynamic learning” in area of Technical Education.
The institute is located at 26th Km mile stone on Agra-Delhi National Highway (NH#2), Farah (Distt. Mathura). The institute has a fully functional campus and has integrated a host of modern facilities within its premises.
The lush green surroundings provide a serene ambience suitable for learning and developing a true professional. The academic complex houses spacious lecture halls, syndicate room, conference room, a library, computer labs, a multipurpose hall, a canteen, play grounds and administrative offices.
The hostel caters to residential needs of students and staff and is provided with facilities of gymnasium, indoor and outdoor games and a mess.

All these courses are approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India and the Institute is affiliated to U. P. Technical University, Lucknow.
In a short span of 10 years, HCST has developed infrastructure and intellectual competence in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering to deliver “Quality Education”.
PROGRAMME:
The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) was established in the year 1999. The department offers the following programmes:
a) Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Instrumentation Engg.) under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (Formerly Agra University) two batches have graduated i.e. in the year 2003.
b) In Bachelor of Technology of Mahamaya Technical
University, a 4-Year B.Tech. Degree Programme, the students are
admitted through Engineering Entrance Test (SEE) of the State Government.
Diploma holders are admitted in III semester, under the lateral
entry provision with the approval of Director of Technical Education,
U.P. as per policy guidelines of AICTE / State Govt.
Governance:
The Department is managed & governed through an interactive atmosphere involving all the stake holders (students, parents, faculties & Industry etc.). Based on the guide lines of the governing body & academic council of the college, the Department has an autonomous functioning under the supervision of the Departmental advisory board, which has two academic nominees of the department and three representatives from the industries and 2 academicians from out side. The advisory board looks at the department through eight functions each managed by two to three faculty members. The different functions are:

The advisory committee plans and organizes the academic inputs through judicious use of different laboratory facilities, introduction of the contemporary technologies through continuous syllabus revision and creation of other infrastructure needs, to keep pace with the changing technologies and needs. The committee meets at least once in academic year, deliberates and gives its recommendations to the department. The department forwards the recommendations of the advisory committee to the college administration for approval. After securing the approval and the financial sanctions from the college governing council, the department implements those recommendations. This facilitates bringing in improvements that support the teaching – learning process. Value additions to the existing courses are done through this process.
Delegation of Financial Powers in the Department
As far as the delegation of powers to
the Head of the Department is concerned, he has an impressed amount
of Rs. 2,500, which he can spend for the purchase of essential spares
and components used for the conduct of laboratory classes. This
can be recouped as per set procedure. In addition to this, in case
larger amounts are required, the department can take an advance
from the college with the permission of the Principal or the Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) and adjust the advance by submitting relevant
vouchers within 15 days of taking the advance.
