Proctorial System
With a genuine concern for the Student Welfare, in terms of their academic and personal issues, Proctorial System has been introduced. The Dean Student Welfare is nominated as the Chief Proctor. All the members of faculty are designated as Proctors each with 15 to 20 students to be taken care of. For each student there is a ‘Proctorial Record Sheet’ consisting of Personal Details, Attendance, University Examination, Internal Test Marks, Co-curricular and Extra Curricular activities. Interaction sessions between the proctor and the students take place, wherein the students may discuss their problems seeking the counseling and guidance of the Proctor. Thus, the Proctor acts as the local parent/guardian, develops intimacy and wins the confidence of the students. The problems mentioned by the students are to a large extent attended to by the Proctor, or the HOD concerned and the problems that can be solved at a higher level are passed on, for their immediate attention. The points are classified and sent by the Chief Proctor to the respective officers in-charge for appropriate action. Thus, the Proctorial System is facilitating the creation of a student friendly and student centric environment on the campus.
