Learning and Pedagogy

Learning begins with interest. The teachers at HCST are excellent resource for igniting the interest of the students through the use of their pedagogical methodology which is clearly evident through the ranking of the Institute and the various accolades that HCST has been able to garner over its 24 year journey towards excellence.

The quality of class room teaching is inculcated by giving faculty awareness about pedagogical teaching learning methods, Blooms taxonomy and Outcome Based Education (OBE) by organizing various workshops and faculty development programs in the department and Institute

The effective implementation of curriculum is ensured by supplementing classroom teaching with expert lectures, seminars, mini projects, in-house and industry supported projects, industry visits, industrial internships, hands-on-sessions, tutorials, case studies, e-learning, NPTEL lectures, virtual lab, technical quiz, assignments, internal-tests etc. Contents beyond curriculum are identified and taught both in the classroom and in the laboratory to expose students to the recent trends in the industry. Institute has taken initiative to provide soft skill training, value added courses and counseling for holistic development of the students.

All the faculty members at HCST nurture the vision of the Institute and contribute towards the development of students into competent professionals who are of immense value for the industry as well as for the society.

HCST motivates the students to run students’ clubs for conducting various academic, sports and competitions related activities.
